I went to see Men I Trust and the TOPS and it was amazing. As for the venue it was huge, luckily I was able to be up in front and had a decent view of the bands. It did get pretty hot in there, so be sure to get a water bottle so you don't pass out. The audio was nice and there was only one malfunction where everything shut off for a second and the mics screeched. Other than that, the staff was very nice and welcoming. If you plan to go and watch a popular band, you'll want to get there 1-2 hours early to get a good view. I'll definitely come back again if a band I follow performs there!
Great local spot, huge bands play there. Easy ticketing experience, good security & easy parking. Cash only for water, red bull & earplugs. Small selection of craft beers; pay with card or cash for beer.
Saw LP last weekend. Other than sticking to floor due to a lack of washing the venue was good. No bad viewing spots! Great sound!
To be transparent upfront, I have yet to attend the show I'm considering. I just want people to know that it is very difficult to get accessibility details that aren't just about wheelchair access. I emailed them a few days ago and tried to call this evening when the box office should have been open, but neither got any response. I just want to know if there is any way to have any seating at main stage shows, because after being hit by a truck a few years ago I cannot stand for 2+ hours without serious pain.
To their credit, at least the wheelchair details ARE listed clearly on their website.
I really enjoyed coming to this venue to experience a concert from one of my favorite artists. The venue is more intimate which makes it great for general admission tickets. I personally paid for a VIP ticket when I visited SOMA and I’m thankful that I did because the audio/sound was a bit off at several points during the performance. I also noticed that the acoustics of the building aren’t the greatest which provides a challenge if you want to hear the concert clearly. I still recommend this place because I think it’s a great opportunity to view your favorite artist in an up close setting. Additionally, this venue is family friendly so you don’t have to deal with pot addicts and alcoholics ruining your experience. The staff was very organized and cordial, they gave concert-goers waters during the performance which was an absolute lifesaver. The venue was also pretty clean by the end of the night, which showed that the staff care about maintaining the venue in a good condition. I’ll be coming back to SOMA, I still had a magical night!
Great experience seeing Sevendust, it was my first show at this venue. Had a great time! Good acoustics and sound, lighting, etc. Large open standing space with breathing room between people. A couple fights broke out, and security kicked the initiators out quickly. Security was in the pit with people which was cool to see. If I had one feedback it's that drink selection was limited to Bud Light products - this is hardly 'craft beer' as advertised on their website. Still, the venue sounded great for a rock show, which is what matters most.
People faint left and right at this venue. They pack you in really tight and there is 0 airflow. I also asked for water and the security guards were awesome and brought it to us, however, they said that they "We can't give water out to just everyone." I proceeded to share the water with like 10 people around me because they were exhausted.
Just after that, people started fainting and they proceeded to spray the audience with water...wild. They passed like 10 water bottles back also and thought that was enough.
Also, you have to have cash to buy water. I think that was also a massive issue and a really easy problem to fix (take credit card).
Also, one of the women security guards outside was harassing a bunch of young women. She was being horrible to women and just kept yelling at people for no reason, making them feel bad.
I probably won't come back just because how much of a safety issue this place is as well as the woman security guard. Kindness doesn't exist here. :(
Worst concert venue I’ve ever been too. It was over crowded. Security was no help. You can’t see the artist if you’re in the from mid way all the way to the back. there was no screen. The floor was flat instead of slanted. The parking lot didn’t have any designated parking spaces. People were parked all which way. Seems like the perfect place for a dance hall or a quince, not a music concert.
